Equinox – homeWORD Project at Liberty Lane 2008-2009

Project Overview:

PCI has completed design and provided construction oversight of the progressive Equinox project along the Clark Fork River at Liberty Lane, for HomeWord. A portion of engineering responsibilities included access, curb and sidewalk considerations along Liberty Lane as well as driveway, parking and drainage facilities on-site. In addition, over 800 feet of water main was installed to provide domestic and fire suppression water supply to the project. Construction completion is scheduled for 2009. A 10’ wide asphalt path was installed along the Clark Fork River and will eventually tie in with the City’s Clark Fork Northside Trail system.

Badger Bay, Georgetown Lake

BADGER BAY AT GEORGETOWN – 2007

Project Overview:

The project includes construction of approximately 5,400 lineal feet of roadway for Piney Point Road, 1,720 lineal feet of roadway for Renegade Road, 3,100 lineal feet of roadway for Badger Bay Trail, 412 lineal feet of roadway for Trout Run, 494 lineal feet of roadway for Access to Lot 51, 894 lineal feet of roadway for Drive ‘B’, 702 lineal feet of roadway for Drive ‘C’, 448 lineal feet of roadway for Drive ‘D’, and driveways for Lots 3, 4, 6, 12, 13, 37, 38, and 40.

Also included is storm drainage with 12″, 18″, and 24″ ADS pipe. Utility crossings for electric and telephone are being installed.

Additionally 6″ PVC schedule 40 pipe sleeves was installed for Lots 2, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, and 17. These pipes were installed for the sewer system on one side of driveway and building envelope on opposite side of driveway.

SKAGGS ADDITION 2006

SKAGGS ADDITION 2006

PCI Engineering--University of Montana

Project Overview:

This project for the University of Montana includes installation of 531 lineal feet of 6″ DIP water main with associated gate valves and two fire hydrants and 43 lineal feet of 4″ DIP water main and 35 lineal feet of 4″ DIP and 4″ gate valve for the Building water service connection. Also included is 8″ DIP water main for the supply well piping from well to building and 8″ CL350 PVC for the injection well piping. This project also includes the construction of approximately 288 lineal feet of 8″ PVC SDR-35 sewer main with three (3) new manholes.

Orchard Gardens–HomeWORD

homeWORD–ORCHARD GARDENS 2003-2005

PCI Engineering--Orchard Gardens for HomeWord

Project Overview:
Orchard Gardens is a low income housing development in Missoula, Montana which was built for HomeWORD which consists of 35 units on 4.6 acres. homeWORD has been a leader in providing sustainable affordable housing in Montana for the last decade.

PCI worked with MMW Architects to make everything fit well on this very tight site. Of the 4.6 acres available, 2.0 acres was retained as open space. PCI provided planning, surveying, and site civil services for MMW including water and sewer extensions, grading and drainage design, sidewalks, paths, parking, and services during construction.

Orchard Gardens was designed to the LEED-NC (New Construction) standard. Green features incorporated included PV solar panels, groundwater cooling, recycled glass road base, 35-100% fly ash concrete, and locally sourced materials.
